Undertitle Terms
Application to Undertitle: these Terms apply to Undertitle as a product and service provided by Think-Tank BV. Undertitle forms part of the “Services” defined below.
Version: 1.0 Last updated: 26 October 2026
1. Application
These Terms of Service govern use of the Undertitle platform, API, integrations, documentation and subtitling services by professional customers and their authorised users. Undertitle is provided by Think-Tank BV, Mezenstraat 80, 3061 Leefdaal, Belgium, company number 1031.720.902 (RLE Leuven).
By activating an account or using Undertitle, a user accepts these terms. The customer is responsible for its users' compliance. The commercial relationship is also governed by the General Conditions, the quotation or order form and, where applicable, the Data Processing Agreement.
2. Accounts and access
Users must provide accurate information, keep personal credentials confidential and take reasonable security measures. Logins may not be shared. The customer is responsible for activity through its accounts and must report suspected misuse or a security incident immediately.
We may restrict or suspend access to protect the security, integrity or availability of Undertitle, in response to prohibited use or where the customer fails to meet its contractual obligations.
3. Acceptable use
Undertitle may only be used for lawful professional subtitling and localisation workflows within the agreed scope. Without our written permission, a user must not:
- resell, rent or offer Undertitle as a standalone service to third parties;
- reverse engineer the software, bypass security or attempt unauthorised access;
- disrupt, overload or scrape the service, or automate access outside the API and agreed limits;
- process harmful, illegal or rights-infringing content;
- systematically use Undertitle, its documentation or output to train a competing model, dataset or product; or
- remove or obscure technical or legal notices.
4. Source material and instructions
The customer decides which audiovisual material, files, term lists and instructions are submitted. It warrants that the material may lawfully be uploaded, transcribed, translated, processed and stored and that its use does not infringe third-party rights.
Undertitle processes material using the selected languages, settings, professional subtitling standards and editorial rules. Conflicting or incomplete instructions may lead to different results.
5. Output and editorial control
Undertitle may generate transcripts, translations, timing, subtitle files, quality reports, warnings and confidence scores. This output supports professional editors but does not replace their final review.
The customer remains responsible for review, correction, approval, technical validation and publication. A confidence score is an aid, not a guarantee of accuracy, fitness, legal compliance or acceptance by any broadcaster, streamer, distributor or other platform.
6. API and integrations
API keys and integration credentials are confidential and may only be used for the agreed environment. The customer must follow the documentation, rate limits, security requirements and supported formats. We may revoke credentials that are leaked, misused or used insecurely.
We may change APIs, formats and integrations to maintain security, compatibility and product quality. We will try to provide reasonable migration information for material changes.
7. Availability and changes
We aim to provide a reliable service but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability. Maintenance, incidents, external providers and changes in media technology may temporarily affect the service.
New or experimental features may be offered as beta features. They may change, have limited availability or be discontinued and are provided as available.
8. Data and retention
The customer retains its rights in customer content. It grants ThinkTank the limited rights required to provide, secure and support the service and produce the selected output. Personal data is processed under the Privacy Policy and the applicable Data Processing Agreement.
The customer must download and retain the deliveries it needs. Retention periods may depend on the subscription, quotation and technical or legal obligations. Access to customer content and results may end after termination.
9. Intellectual property
Undertitle, its interface, software, documentation, prompts, models, quality rules, workflows and underlying technology remain the property of ThinkTank or its licensors. The customer receives a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence for the term of the agreement.
We may use feedback to improve Undertitle without disclosing confidential customer information.
10. Support and notices
Questions, misuse reports and security incidents can be sent to hello@undertitle.ai. Privacy enquiries can be sent to trust@think-tank.io.
11. Termination
The right to use Undertitle ends when the customer agreement ends. We may restrict access immediately in response to a serious security risk, illegal use or material breach. Provisions that by their nature should survive, including intellectual property, responsibility for customer content and liability limitations, remain in effect.
12. Law and precedence
Belgian law applies. In the event of conflict, the Data Processing Agreement, special conditions, quotation or order form and General Conditions prevail in the order stated there.
