Usage charges and reserved funds

Understand how subtitle runs reserve and spend wallet credit, and resume after a top-up.

How processing uses credit

Each new run stores the usage rate that applies when it starts. Its charge uses the measured duration of the source media. Partial minutes are charged proportionally, with the total rounded to cents.

Before subtitle processing continues, the full run charge is reserved from available credit. Older valid credit is used first. A completed run spends that reservation. Starting another run for the same project creates a separate charge if that run completes.

For your applicable rate, contact Undertitle.

Read your balance

Available balance is unexpired credit after spending and reservations. Reserved funds are already excluded from it.

Open a top-up to see its Remaining amount, Reserved for processing, Spent, and Valid until date. Several runs can use the same top-up, and one run can use credit from several top-ups.

When a run completes, reserved funds become spent. This does not deduct the same amount from your available balance again.

Waiting for funds

A run shows Waiting for funds when available credit cannot cover its full charge. Other active runs may already have reserved part of the wallet.

Add funds to the same workspace. Once enough credit is available, processing resumes automatically. You do not need to upload the media again or start another run.

Failed runs

A failed run releases its reservation. Released credit becomes available again if it has not expired. Releasing a reservation does not extend the credit's validity.
