Before you start
Have an audio or video file ready. The upload limit is 2 GB. Use Billing → Wallet to check that your workspace has available credit for processing.
You create a project for the media and its context. A run processes that project. Creating a project does not start a run automatically.
Create the project
- Open Projects → New project.
- Choose the asset type: Movie, TV show, or Other.
- Enter its name and the relevant season, episode, or release year.
- Use Additional context for useful details, such as the specific cut, names, or an accent.
- Select the Source language spoken in the media and choose a Subtitle style. The style determines the output language and subtitle settings.
- Select the Media file and complete any required custom fields.
- Choose Create project and wait for the upload to finish.
For English-to-Dutch subtitles, select English as the source and the Ondertitelkunst style for Dutch (Flanders) output.
Wait for the media check
The project page shows when the uploaded media is being checked. You can leave that page during the check. Start run becomes available once the source media is ready and no run is active.
If processing the upload fails, check that the file is valid audio or video and use Retry processing when offered. An invalid-media error requires a new project with a valid file.
Add an optional script
Before starting the run, choose Edit on the project. Under Scripts, upload an official script in PDF, text, or Markdown format. Scripts provide context for processing. Return to the project through its breadcrumb.
Start processing
Choose Start run. The run page updates its status automatically. You can leave it and return through Projects → your project → Runs.

| Pending or Running | Processing is scheduled or in progress. Wait for completion. |
| Waiting for funds | Add enough credit through Billing → Wallet. Processing resumes automatically. |
| Completed | Open the files and review the result. |
| Failed | Read Last error. Contact support if you cannot resolve the problem. |
Only one run can be active for a project at a time. A run waiting for funds is still active.
Download and review
On the completed run, open Files and download the SRT marked Final. Review the subtitles against the media before delivery. The Report shows subtitle-duration, reading-speed, line-length, and line-count figures to support your review.
To change context, the source language, subtitle style, or scripts, edit the project and start a new run. Changes affect the next run and do not replace earlier results. Each completed repeat run uses wallet credit separately.
